Confusing question in SAS interview ?
Ques :If you have to get data from multiple table what you will prefer Either Data Step Merge or Proc Sql?
Ans . You can not specific with any of one, its pendent of situation.like for data step merge data must be sorted before merge so if your data is all ready sorted you can use Data step merge and there is one advantage of data step merge that according to requirement you can send data into different data sets in one step like-Matches , non Matches.
proc sql creates cartesian products which take more time in case of more tables or heavy datasets.
